4 to Freestyle is operated by Audrey Holmes, trading as 4 to Freestyle. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used. We collect the minimum we need to run the course and the Water's Edge community — and we never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address, when you register or sign in.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by PayPal, our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number. We do keep a record of what you purchased and the amount paid.
  • Course activity:which lessons you've watched, your Class Check-In answers, and Free Stroke Check results. Your progress is saved to your account so we can show it back to you.
  • Community content:anything you post in Water's Edge (threads, replies) and any Student Story you choose to share.
  • Technical information: collected automatically by the platforms we use — such as your IP address, browser and device information, and login and security logs.

Some features (Check-Ins, community posts, Student Stories) have free-text fields. Anything you write there is voluntary — please share only what you're comfortable with, and avoid including unnecessary medical or health details.

How we use it

  • To give you access to the course tiers you've purchased.
  • To run the Water's Edge community and its moderation.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To keep the service secure and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To understand which parts of the course and site are working, so we can improve them.

Service emails and marketing emails

We may send you essential account and transaction messages — such as purchase receipts, sign-in messages, and important course notices — even if you've unsubscribed from marketing, because you need them to use what you bought. Marketing emails (our welcome sequence, Field Notes, and course news) are optional and you can unsubscribe from them at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted service providers to run the site. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • PayPal — payment processing.
  • Supabase — account login and course database.
  • Mux — video hosting and playback.
  • Kit — email newsletter (Field Notes) and Free Stroke Check results.
  • Resend — service and community notification emails.
  • Vercel — website hosting and privacy-respecting analytics.

We do not sell your personal information. Besides the providers above, we may share information with professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers), with fraud-prevention services, with a buyer or successor if the business is transferred, and where we're required to by law.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

How long we keep it

  • Account and course data — while your account is active.
  • Payment and transaction records — as long as needed for accounting or legal purposes.
  • Community content — until you delete it or close your account, subject to necessary backups.
  • Mailing-list information — until you unsubscribe.

Community and Student Story visibility

Posts in Water's Edge are visible to enrolled students and to our moderators — they are not public. We will not make your story, name, photograph, or testimonial public, or use it in any promotion, without your separate permission first.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to support security and the basic operation of the site. Your course progress is saved to your account, not stored in cookies. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general traffic, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, export, or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent to marketing, or object to or ask questions about how your information is used — just email audrey@4-to-freestyle.com. Some transaction records may need to be kept for accounting or legal reasons. Deleting your account removes your course access; deletion can take a reasonable amount of time, and limited information may remain in backups or in records we need to keep for security, accounting, dispute resolution, or the law.

Age

4 to Freestyle is intended for adults. Purchases must be made by someone aged 18 or over, and anyone under 18 may use the course only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children without that involvement.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
